Unlike in Breaking Dawn, the Volturi is not willing to listen to the Cullens explanation about Renesmee.

What would have happen had Alice and Jasper never found Nahuel, the other hybrid. What would Alice and Jasper return to? And what was the fate of their family and friends?
On the day the Volturi showed up, a battle had broken out when three members of the Volturi gaurd had started to follow Jacob and Renesmee, but were stopped and torn apart and burned by Sam, Paul, Embry, and Emmett. Both teams were equally matched and only after both sides had lost members, had the Cullens and the Wovles been taken captive and brought to Volterra. However, before they all had been caught Bella told Seth where to find Jacob and Renesmee. Seth managed to escape, but it would take him awhile to find them.
After taking Renesmee and running, Jacob had stopped at one of the places where he had clothes stashed and got fully dressed. After looking at the tickets Bella had placed in Renesmee's backpack, he carried Nessie to his car and drove towards the airport. Once there, they'd boarded a plane and headed off to what would be their new home, until the Cullens came for them. Jacob and Renesmee made it to their desitnation (RIO DE JANEIRO), but they didnt stay in one area for to long because of Renesmee's rapid growth. Everytime they moved, Jacob made sure they'd leave as little trace of them being there as possible. Renesmee grew faster than what everyone had predicted. Within a year, Ness look about 7 years old, at this time a growth slowed down. One night, while Jacob and Ness had been out hunting (jacob in wolf form), Jacob felt the presence of one of his pack members, Seth. Seth had finally found them, and he explained to Jacob what had happened before he left, so the fate of everyone else was still unknown. They remained at their current location for about another year, until Ness started growing again. The three of them hopped on a plane and went back to the states, again not staying in one place for very long. They'd agreed that it would be safest not return to Washington until the Cullens had gotten a hold of them. A few years later Renesmee has finally stopped growing at the age of five, however she looks about 17. (Yes i changed it. in the book she was suppose to stop growing at the age of 7)

The clearing where the battle was fought had a few piles of ashes, but it was unknown if they belonged to the Volturi or their family. It was quite apparent that no-one had been in the house for a few days. Alice tried to force a vision to come to her about what had happened that day, but she couldnt get nothing. alice and Jasper walked through their home hoping for a clue as to what happen. they reached Carlisle's study and on the desk written on a piece of paper in Bella's writting was, RIO DE JANEIRO. Which was in Brazil. Looking at the paper, Alice suddenly at a vision of Bella visiting J. Jenks. Seeing this Alice knew Bella had gotten her clue. She and Jasper would now be on their way to RIO DE JANEIRO, in attempt figure out why Bella had left that clue. Had they all escaped? Alice and Jasper never figured out what Bella's clue meant. One day, Alice received a vision of a sign that said, "Welcome to Juneau." Alice and Jasper's next stop, Juneau.

The Wovles were kept in another part of the castle so they and the Cullens had no idea of the others fate. Edward would try to get info from their minds but everyone watched what they thought about. Until recently Felix let slip, it was no longer nesscerary to keep those without a power around, and that Esme would be the first they would rid of. Bella hatched a plan that would save Esme. When they were taken out to hunt, Bella would make a scene causing everyone to protect her against the gaurd and Esme would run and find Ness and Jake. Well, the planned worked and Esme is now on the run to find her grand-daughter.
